Abstract:
This report is an internal CFEC briefing report on the Southeast Alaska Bait Herring Fishery. The study was undertaken in
response to a petition to limit the fishery. The report looks at historical participation patterns in the fishery and provides
considerable time series data on numbers of participants, vessels, average pounds and average gross earnings. It also
provides some information on trends in ex-vessel markets and bait markets.
