Abstract:
This report was prepared at the request of Representative Carl Moses. It provides some brief background on the Chignik
salmon fishery. The fishery has shifted outside the lagoon over time. The report compares the vessel sizes of boats fishing
inside and outside the lagoon, as well as the residency of fishers who fished in the different Chignik fisheries.
